Denver’s Sustainability Committee celebrated Earth Day by partnering with Denver Parks & Recreation (shout out to our coordinator, Lawrence!), who provided trash grabbers and bags. Spirit team members picked up trash, debris, and even reunited a lost wallet with its owner along the South Platte. The South Platte area is full of walking and biking trails located on both sides of the river. Due to a riparian zone, trash and debris tends to accumulate, so it was great to make an impact on an area that will be heavily used in the coming months!
