Spirit strongly believes in tackling tough issues and having uncomfortable conversations if it means bettering our community. The Humanitarian Committee recently partnered with The Giving Gown Foundation to donate feminine hygiene products to Houston-area women. Period poverty is “the umbrella term for inequities related to menstruation”. The Giving Gown Foundation’s mission of Empowerment relates closely to Spirit’s Core Value of People; no person should lack basic hygienic necessities, and we are proud to have played a role in helping local women gain menstrual freedom.
