Natural & Cultural Resources

Spirit provides cultural resource services to assist clients maintain compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act and with reconnaissance and intensive level architectural surveys.

We know the intricacies of the Section 106 process from project initiation to completion, including facilitation with agencies, tribes, and the public. We are experienced in conducting archaeological surveys for historic and prehistoric resources. We’ve evaluated above ground resources including houses, commercial buildings, farmsteads, cemeteries, rural and designed cultural landscapes (i.e. parks). Spirit helps clients avoid adverse effects to historic resources and if necessary, can assist with mitigation.
